One of the few things I truly love about my job is vacation. There are several things I love about my job and the fact that I can say that right now is a direct result of having a week off. There are also things I dislike about my job the big ones being the start time (7:09 am, yes I am that precise about it I would be much happier not knowing there was a 5 am), the politics (I know there are politics in every job but it really interferes with my life at times), and finally the fact that most people think they know what I do and the current public/media backlash against my chosen profession.
Now for the parts I love (Nerd Alert): the planning, I love putting together all of the information and activities and well learning more about something or a new point of view. I also love the type of people I work with, most of society can not stand them but I find them refreshing and honest in their reactions, time has not taught them to play politics yet so you get genuine emotions and reactions sometimes they’re negative but at least it’s honest. I also love many of my colleagues for the most part you tend to find people like you in your chosen profession and I am no exception. I have found a couple that are the complete opposite and I’m okay with that too, everyone brightens a room, some by entering and some by leaving. I also love the fact that I can use any trip I go on to add to my professional repertoire, when it comes down to brass tacks I can connect ANYTHING to my career and therefore use it as professional development.
Today the thing I love the most about my job is vacation.
